A B2B SaaS ecosystem for regenerative agriculture that translates complex soil and biological data into actionable operational insights for farmers and supply chains.

Details

Developed a suite of B2B SaaS tools for regenerative agriculture, transforming complex biological data into actionable insights for farmers and supply chain managers.

The ecosystem features 'Observer,' a field app built for rugged use with big-button UI, offline capabilities, and snappable grids that allow farmers to map and parcel land with total agency.

The project was refined through 'virtual barn doors' co-design sessions, ensuring the software bridges the gap between precise soil health metrics and practical daily operations.

What was the initial spark that moved Earthfarms from a research project into a suite of active tools?

It came down to listening to the specific problems farmers were sharing. I saw so many places where technology could genuinely help them, which motivated me to push those ideas into reality.

Farmers often voiced that precise observational data gets lost amid a sea of other information, and sharing that data with others was a consistently painful experience.

The first app in the suite was Observer. How did you design it to fit into the actual workflow of a busy farmer?

We focused on making it rugged and practical: heavy use of GPS for location-based info, big buttons, and full offline capabilities. The copy had to be understandable but professional.

One key feature was allowing farmers to divide their fields however they wanted—using snappable grids or even 'walking the perimeter' to map it—giving them total agency over how they parcel their land.
