Scitrust is a platform concept designed to combat toxic lab culture by allowing researchers to anonymously benchmark their work environments.

Details

The project addresses the systemic issue of brilliant scientists leaving academia due to poor mentorship and lack of transparency.

By providing instant, data-driven reality checks to users in exchange for their anonymous reviews, the platform creates a self-sustaining loop of accountability and clarity for the scientific community.

Process

  1. Identified the core problem of researcher attrition through collaborative strategy sessions with Pedro Zeni
  2. Reframed the value proposition from altruistic reviewing to a 'selfish' need for personal benchmarking and clarity
  3. Designed a comprehensive questionnaire focused on lab culture, data practices, and mentorship quality
  4. Developed a full UX flow that converts user input into immediate, private comparative reports
  5. Created a go-to-market strategy centered on distribution as a core product feature
  6. Produced high-fidelity mockups to visualize the platform's utility and data visualization
